50 years ago, Hello Kitty, a fictional cult character in cat form, began to win the hearts of millions of fans around the world. Over the past half century, more than 50 000 products featuring Hello Kitty have been launched on the market. Well-known collaborations with iconic fashion brands have turned Hello Kitty herself into a celebrated star.

The cat accessories brand Lucy Balu, which focuses on classic design and top quality, has now entered into an exclusive partnership with Hello Kitty. “There has never been a collaboration worldwide between Hello Kitty and a brand that makes products for real cats,” emphasises the young company from Munich. The company recently pulled off a spectacular coup when Lucy Balu launched an exclusive collection featuring Choupette, Karl Lagerfeld's cat.

Hello Kitty celebrates its 50th birthday on 1 November. At the end of April, the Lucy Balu brand will present its own collection for Hello Kitty fans. Lucy Balu X Hello Kitty is an exciting mix of minimalism and kawaii, or cuteness, for real cats, according to the company. The Hello Kitty collection for cats will initially be available solely from Lucy Balu.
