Pet Supermarket, a leading specialty pet supply retailer with over 225 locations across the US Southeast, welcomes Rich Tannenbaum as its new chief executive officer. Tannenbaum will steer the strategic direction of the organisation and execution of multi-year growth and expansion plans, according to reports in different US pet trade magazines.

Tannenbaum is bringing 25 years of retail, e-commerce and consumer goods experience to the position. Most recently, he led the global supply chain and operations teams at Five Below, spearheading the retailer’s rapid multinational logistics expansion.

“It is an incredible honour to be selected as Pet Supermarket’s next CEO, and to lead and serve this great organisation,” Tannenbaum told the trade magazine Pet business. “I appreciate the leadership and work of all who came before me to build Pet Supermarket into the successful business and brand it is today. I am thrilled to help lead the organisation into its next chapter of growth and success.”
