Vafo, the Czech pet food manufacturer, is strengthening its commitment to environmentally compatible production processes. This initiative includes in particular the choice of sustainable ingredients, climate-neutral processing and packaging made from fully recyclable materials. Its new Brit Care Sustainable product is based completely on sustainable ingredients such as insect proteins, according to the company. Furthermore, these are sourced locally, thereby reducing the carbon footprint associated with transporting ingredients.

“Thanks to sustainable, local ingredients, modern packaging and cutting-edge technologies, CO2 emissions in production have been cut to the absolute minimum,” says the company. The remaining CO2 footprint is to be compensated for by working with the My Climate organisation on local and global projects.
