The pet supplies sector is keen to get back to exhibiting at trade fairs. This was the message from Gordon Bonnet, managing director of ZZF and Interzoo organiser WZF, at a press briefing today, 11 November, at Zoomark International in Bologna.
One sign of this are the high visitor figures on the first one and a half days of Zoomark along with the fact that 1 090 exhibitors from 61 countries have already registered for the world-leading Interzoo in Nuremberg in six months' time (24-27 May). This is only 10 per cent fewer than for the last Interzoo in 2018, the most successful edition of the trade show in its history. And there's still plenty of time to pass this figure yet.
Dr Rowena Arzt, head of the WZF's fairs division, regards this as an indication of the continued importance of fairs in the pet supplies sector. As well as the large number of country pavilions, Arzt highlighted in particular the high number of start-up companies at the forthcoming Interzoo. A strong accompanying programme of events and a parallel digital event in a form yet to be finalised are also envisaged.
