President named for Pet Industry Distributors Association

The Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA) has named Celeste Powers as its president. She will begin her tenure as the association's chief staff executive on 5 November. She will succeed Steve King, who departs PIDA in early January to assume the role of CEO of the American Pet Products Association.Powers has been in non-profit association management for 27 years, with nearly 20 years in executive director roles. Most recently, she served as the executive director of Beacon, Networking for Life, a professional networking association of business leaders in the mid-Atlantic region.
