The Belgian pet food firm Versele-Laga is preparing for globalisation. The company, which supplies pet food products to over 75 countries worldwide, has now changed its sales structure to provide trade customers in the various regions with a better follow up, more focus & target and more flexible service in future.
The sales side has now been divided into three categories: traditional trade within the EU (covering independent pet stores, garden centres, farm feed stores, vets and DIY chains), modern trade within the EU (covering key accounts and online business) and development trade (covering the markets North America, Asia, the Middle East & Africa, Russia and the Baltic States, the Balkans and Romania).
Stefan Versele will fill the post of sales manager for the traditional trade, while Marc Vuylsteke has been appointed sales manager for modern trade. The post of sales manager for development trade will be filled by Erik Lambrecht.
