Pet symposium in Chicago

The international symposium, held by Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition and Mars Petcare, on the subject of animal food was attended by 230 representatives from science, industry and veterinary medicine over four days in Chicago.
Participants shared their views on the latest research results and developments in pet food. "We are very pleased that the symposium was well attended with participants from 28 nations, and that so many young scientists are interested in the exciting subject of feeding pets in a way which is appropriate to the species," says Claudia Houben, veterinarian at Mars Petcare The Waltham Centre for Pet Nutrition belongs to the Mars Inc. family-run company.
For more than 50 years scientists and veterinarians at Waltham have been developing the foundations of species-appropriate and nutritional-physiological dog and cat food.
