Spending in the pet industry came in at a record

Spending in the pet industry for 2015 came in at a record $60.28 bn. This was announced in the margins of the US pet supplies show Global Pet Expo. Pet services, which include grooming, boarding, walking, training, pet sitting, exercise and yard services for pampered pets, saw the largest growth again this year with an increase of 11.8 per cent in comparison to 2014 and more than triple the growth percentage of any other category. Spending on supplies/OTC meds (3.9 per cent growth to $14.28 bn) ranked second.
