Rondo Food acquires snack business from Adax

Rondo Food, the German manufacturer of snacks and treats, is to acquire the snack business of the French manufacturer BHJ Adax Pet Snacks. The companies have agreed to relocate the production of dog and cat snacks previously manufactured by Adax to three Rondo Food plants, according to a press release by the latter. Deliveries to customers in France and foreign markets will be safeguarded.Rondo Food has two facilities in Germany (Krefeld and Halle/Saale) and one belonging to its Irish subsidiary Gaines in Arklow. Production consists exclusively of snacks for dogs and cats under private label brands of European retailers. Rondo, which employs 500 people, reportedly has sales at present of over € 130 mio.
