“A good fit for us”

Anivite is the new and exclusive distributor of Rogz products in Portugal with effect from 1 January. Founded in 1962, the Portuguese family-owned company was started by José Pico. Now headed by his son Rui, the company is based in Alverca do Ribatejo, just 20 km outside the capital, Lisbon. Its distribution centre covers 4 000 m² and employs 30 staff members. Its sales team of 6 covers all major centres in Portugal, servicing over 400 veterinarians, pet stores and pet breeders and even supplying a few special customers in Madeira and the Azores. “We are very excited with the appointment of Anivite as our new partner in Portugal,” says Rogz key account manager Fritz Gerke. “While Portugal is not our biggest market in Europe by a long way, Anivite is nonetheless a very good fit for us, and promises to be the ideal partner in helping grow the Rogz brand.” “We grew company turnover in excess of 30 per cent last year,” says John Henshilwood, general manager for Rogz Europe. “We look well on track for growth of a further 20 per cent in the current financial period as well. We have made some strategic appointments, and have further exciting plans in the pipeline”. The South African accessories manufacturer Rogz is also celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
