The German company based near Osnabrück has filed a provisional insolvency application with the district court in Osnabrück

Mucki Heimtierbedarf in Westhoyel near Osnabrück has filed a provisional insolvency application with the district court in Osnabrück. “Business operations will be fully maintained and continued until further notice,” stated the company’s management in response to an enquiry from petonline. The intention is to “work out a sustainable solution for the employees and the market”. To achieve this aim, restructuring measures would be implemented that made it necessary to file for insolvency in the interim. The company reportedly employs around 60 staff at present.
Mucki Heimtierbedarf is a company rich in tradition. Its history dates back to 1928, when the Ostermann family established an agricultural business. The foundation for the present Mucki Heimtierbedarf GmbH was laid at the beginning of the 1970s. Michael Ostermann and his son Philip-Julius Ostermann run the company.
