The American pet supplies chain Petland donated over $52 000 last October to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s treatment and research activities. Petland’s national goal for 2014 is $83 333, the cost of running the hospital for one hour of one day. The campaign will run until October 31 in Petland stores across the country. Petland became a St. Jude corporate partner in 2009. The St. Jude Halloween campaign, now in its 23rd year, asks customers to donate $1 or more at the register. In exchange for the donation, customers sign a St. Jude Halloween-themed pinup, which is then displayed in the store.
