The multinational film manufacturer and converter Nordenia International AG continued its strong growth during the 2011 financial year. In 2011, group sales rose by 9.9 per cent to € 880.8 million, and compared with the previous year the sales volume grew by 1.4 per cent to 244 670 tons. Nordenia wishes to further expand its business in the markets of North America, Asia, Germany and eastern Europe. The average annual investment volume for 2012 and 2013 is about € 35.6 million. In 2012 Nordenia will be focusing its investment on the sites in Gronau (Germany), Jackson (USA) and Poznañ (Poland). In the 2011 financial year, over 90 per cent of group sales were for products from the area Fast-Moving Consumer Goods, which is only exposed to a low level of market fluctuation. Particularly important to Nordenia are the endmarkets Hygiene, Converting FMCG, Food and Petcare & Garden Products, which together account for over 80 per cent of sales. The endmarket Petcare & Garden Products (sales: € 98.3 million) achieved double-figure growth rates.
