Gimborn no longer has a pet supplies chain

01.07.2011
According to PETglobal’s information, the Pet-Center stores are being run with immediate effect by the new company Pet Center s.r.o. There now appear to be no further obstacles to the acquisition of Gimborn by Perusa

The way now appears clear for the investment fund Perusa to take over Gimborn. The separation of the Pet Center speciality chain from Gimborn is reported to be complete; according to PETglobal’s information, the stores operated hitherto by Gimborn are now being run by the new company Pet Center s.r.o. This is expected to remain in the ownership of Penta Investments. The separation of Gimborn and Pet Center was previously a sticking point in the negotiations between Perusa and Penta Investments, the owner of Gimborn. This is because Perusa is reported by insiders to be interested only in acquiring Gimborn and not the Pet Center retail group.
