150 000 visitors are expected at Interpets, the first official international pet trade fair in Japan, according to information from the organisers. The fair will be held on 25-28 August 2011 and is organised by the Japan Pet Food Association (JPFA) and Mesago Messe Frankfurt Corporation. Starting with the domestic companies and members of the JPFA, around 100 product manufacturing companies have decided to participate, and 150 more, including international companies, are considering signing up, say the organisers. Furthermore, a Chinese pavilion is planned to be set up and will feature exhibitors from China and Hong Kong chosen by the organiser from CIPS. Special events and seminars are also beginning to take shape. Synergetic effects are expected from the co-hosted Japan DIY Homecenter Show, organised by Japan DIY Industry, which is expected to attract 150 000 visitors in 4 days.
