BC Partners acquires Vet Partners

BC Partners aims to take over Vet Partners

BC Partners acquired PetSmart in 2004. Now the private equity firm aims to take over Vet Partners.

The private equity firm BC Partners is close to sealing a 700-million-pound takeover of Vet Partners. York-based Vet Partners employs roughly 3000 people, making it a substantial British employer‎. It operates about 360 practices across the UK and the Netherlands.

BC Partners is thus increasing its involvement in the international pet supplies sector. Its current interests include the US chain PetSmart and Antelliq, a French manufacturer of pet identification systems.
