“We come back every year”

On 28 and 29 May, a few weeks after Interzoo in Nuremberg, the private label industry will meet at the Convention Centre  in Amsterdam for its leading industry event, World of Private Label International.

The trade fair, which has been organised by the private label industry association PLMA for many years, is regarded internationally as the most important meeting place for the private label industry and offers leading retail groups in particular comprehensive opportunities to procure goods and establish new business relationships. The pet industry is also always present in Amsterdam.

With a record number of 2 850 exhibitors from over 70 countries, this year’s fair promises to be bigger and more dynamic than ever before. Due to the strong demand from the industry, the exhibition space has even been extended by an additional hall.

Over 60 pavilions

The World of Private Label International welcomes more than 60 national and regional pavilions on 28 and 29 May. The new pavilions include Dubai, Egypt, Georgia, Germany (Thuringia), Italy (organic), Poland, South Korea, Thailand and the Netherlands. More than 16 000 industry experts from over 120 countries are expected to attend the trade fair, including many buyers from supermarkets, discounters, hypermarkets, convenience stores and specialist stores. The trade fair is known for presenting the latest trends in the food and non-food sectors. In this respect, this fair is also of great importance for the pet industry. This year, organic, plant-based and sustainable products and packaging are expected to play a particularly important role at the trade show. The motto of this May’s trade fair is “Connect. Source. Grow”.

A retail executive quoted in the PLMA’s press release sums it up: “The World of Private Label is a must and an event that is firmly anchored in our company’s calendar. We come back every year.”
