The pet food company, headquartered in Genova, has launched a new range of complete wet and dry food for cats and dogs, which is organic certified. That means a further chance for the consumers to choose among Schesir products, consistently with the values expressed by the brand from the beginning: the high quality, the pureness of the raw materials, the safety guarantees and care of the environment.
The decision to launch an organic product range reflects both the company's strategy and consumers' growing awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability and therefore organic products. Human consumption of organic products has been growing in double figures for over a decade now, bucking the trend on the rest of the food market. In view of the strong tendency to humanise our pets, the figures on consumption of organic products for humans undoubtedly reflect on pet food as well.

Demand for organic products

During last year, organic product purchases registered a remarkable increase, differently from the rest of the food market. A new study on the organic pet food market, which came out last September, predicts the global organic pet food market to grow with an annual growth rate of between 8.5 and 9.5 per cent from 2017 to 2023. In fact, organic pet food products benefit from one of the emerging trends in the pet product industry, owing to the increasing focus on pet health and wellness along with pet humanisation. Many health issues like skin allergies, arthritis, brain aging, digestive disorders and obesity are becoming common among pets, which is a serious concern for pet owners. Thus, the increased awareness of health problems is driving owners to purchase healthy and nutritious food, thereby increasing the popularity of organic pet food. Pet owners are preferring organic certified pet food over conventional pet food as they can be sure it contains cereals grown without chemical fertilisation and meats from animals farmed with respect for their wellness.

The Schesir Bio range comprises:
