Symrise has launched the second phase of its new logistics centre in Holzminden, Germany, with a groundbreaking ceremony, investing approximately €25 mio in the project. The fully automated high-bay warehouse – around 98 metres long, 22 metres wide and 24 metres high with roughly 10,000 shelf spaces – will be operated by Symotion, Symrise's wholly owned logistics subsidiary. Completion is scheduled for March 2028.
The expansion is part of Symrise's Vision 2035 infrastructure programme and aims to increase supply chain efficiency and strengthen the Holzminden site as a hub in the company's global logistics network. Symrise's customers include manufacturers of pet food, food and beverages, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
