The Belgian cutting equipment specialist Fam Stumabo has turned its attention to the petfood sector, offering three complementary machines designed to handle the full range of processing challenges ‒ from frozen organ meats to precision-sliced treats.
According to a press release, the machines work with three distinct technologies. The CMD.2 drum dicer handles frozen and high-fat ingredients at temperatures down to -7°C (19.4° F), producing clean dice without compressing the product. The Yuran Hytec 300 belt-fed dicer manages chilled, cooked, or extruded proteins, delivering diced, chunked, and pulled-look textures with fast tool changeovers. The Volantis V-belt slicer provides precise transverse slicing for treats and sticks, preserving shape and cut integrity throughout.
Fam Stumabo also mentions that it manufactures blades in-house, matching edge profile and cutting geometry to each product's specific characteristics to reduce waste and optimise yield.
