Every year, Forbes Ukraine selects its Entrepreneur of the Year – leaders who shape markets, set new standards, and prove that Ukrainian companies can grow despite challenges. This year's nominees include leaders from technology, manufacturing, retail, the food industry, and beyond. Among them is Polina Kosharna, co-owner and chair of the supervisory board of the Suziria Group.
‘For our entire team, this recognition is a testament to the Suziria Group's ongoing commitment to innovate, improve the pet care industry, and contribute to a more humane and compassionate future for pets and people in Ukraine,‘ the entrepreneur proudly explains on LinkedIn. The nomination inspires her to keep going despite all the challenges.

The reasons for nominating Polina Kosharana include the following: Since 2021, the Suziria Group's turnover has been growing by around 40% annually. In 2024, the group's total turnover increased by 51% to almost UAH 4.6 billion – according to Suziria. This corresponds to around 15% of the Ukrainian pet market. Suziria currently operates production facilities in Kharkiv and Kalush and is preparing to open a new one with a capacity of 5,000 tons, which corresponds to 10% of the wet food market. One-third of production is destined for export. Investments amount to UAH 263 million from loans and own funds, as well as a grant from USAID. Following the forced closure of most stores in the east of the country in early 2022, Kosharna relocated the MasterZoo business. In less than two years, the chain not only resumed its business activities, but even exceeded its pre-war figures. It now has around 200 stores.
