The Ukrainian pet food market continues to grow, albeit at a slightly slower pace: according to data from the Suziria Group, growth in the period from January to May 2025 reached +12.9% in value (UAH) and +9.8% in volume (kg) compared to the same period in 2024. In previous years, the market grew by around 20% annually.
In August, Suziria officially launched a joint project with the UAnimals Foundation for teachers to integrate topics such as animal care and empathy into school lessons. The company was able to attract partners who share its values: the NGO Osvitoria, the MriyDiy Foundation, the Mriya team and leading Ukrainian educators.
Together with NV – one of the largest business media outlets in Ukraine – Suziria has also launched a support programme to help small business owners expand their businesses and strengthen the Ukrainian pet industry. The winner will receive a scholarship of 10,000 euros, mentoring sessions with the management of the Suziria Group, placement on the shelves of the MasterZoo pet shop chain, a certificate for any course at the Nova Poshta Business School in 2026, and a brand design concept developed by the creative agency Taktika.
On the eve of this year's World Animal Day, the group of companies, together with the independent Wild Theatre in Kiev, presented the play ‘A Very Sad Person’ – a performance about the role pets play in people's lives. The aim is to use stories of real characters to show how pets change our lives for the better and can be a source of support even in the most difficult times.
The Savory brand has entered the Moldovan market and held its first training session for the local sales team. Recently, the Suziria Brands team visited its partners PetHouse and GFT in Chișinău, explored more than 40 pet shops and familiarised itself with the modern retail format. Today, Suziria Group brands are represented in 12 countries worldwide, with Savory available in seven of them.
