Practical knowledge of dog and cat nutrition and a willingness to discuss pet nutrition with clients will benefit both veterinary patients and clinics. To help veterinarians and veterinary technicians discuss pet nutrition, the Purina Institute is hosting its fourth annual webinar series, Creating Collaborative Care Through Nutrition Conversations, with four sessions on 15 May, 17 July, 11 September and 4 December.
The Purina Institute 2021 has launched the Creating Collaborative Care Through Nutrition Conversations webinar series. The webinars will now be held annually and will provide practical advice on how veterinary teams can engage their clients in nutrition conversations as part of the medical, nutritional and behavioural management of common health issues in cats and dogs. The 60-minute webinars planned for 2025 include:
• 15 May — Don't Forget the Diet: Incorporating Diet Into Daily Dermatology Case Management
• 17 July — Comprehensive Management of Feline Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD): Part 2
• 11 September — Implementing a Successful Weight Loss Program
• 4 December — Nourishing Bonds: How to Prevent and Address Food Aversions in Pets
Each webinar provides one hour of continuing education credit through the American Association of Veterinary State Boards' Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE). Interested veterinary professionals can view full details and register for the webinars by visiting the series' website or purinainstitute.com/events.
