Pet Valu on the rise

The Canada-based pet retail chain Pet Valu has opened 131 new stores within the past two years, according to the American magazine Pet Business. The company, which is ranked third on the list of the TOP 25 Retailers, has opened the second-highest number of new outlets after the largest pet retailer PetSmart, which added 144 stores. Pet Valu operates approximately 620 stores, including 255 units in the USA. In early 2015, the company acquired the 32-store Jack's Pets chain, according to Pet Business.
