InVivo NSA acquires Total Alimentos

InVivo NSA, a subsidiary of the InVivo Group and major French player in animal nutrition and health, has reached an agreement to acquire Total Alimentos, the number 3 manufacturer in the Brazilian pet food market. The acquisition enables the French company to get a key position in the Brazilian market, according to InVivo NSA. InVivo NSA operates in five main businesses: complete feeds, premixes, additives, analysis laboratories and animal health. In 2012-2013 the company reported revenues of $ 1.8 bn. Total Alimentos is a family-owned independent company which generates revenues of € 170 mio and is involved in two activities: pet food and animal nutrition (dairy cattle, horse and aquaculture). Total Alimentos has a major industrial plant with a production capacity of 350 000 t per year (200 000 t of pet food and 150 000 t of animal nutrition).
