Del Monte Foods Pet Products relaunches

The former Del Monte Pet Products has been renamed Big Heart Pet Brands following the sale of the company’s consumer products division to Del Monte Pacific. The company announced its launch as the largest standalone pet food and treat company in North America. Dave West, a respected leader in the consumer products business, who joined Del Monte Foods in 2011, will serve as president and chief executive of the company. Big Heart Pet Brands will remain headquartered in San Francisco and continue to have offices in Pittsburgh and Burbank. The company will also maintain its existing pet food and treat manufacturing plants, distribution centres and sales offices.
