Another BRC grade for GA Pet Food Partners

UK-based pet food manufacturer Golden Acres Pet Food Partners (GA) has been awarded another Grade A in its annual BRC audit. The BRC (British Retail Consortium) sets standards for pet food manufacturers to demonstrate they implement best practice in their methods of manufacture. They rigorously audit the whole chain, from the sourcing of raw materials through to being able to trace product from the retail shelf back to the origin of the ingredients. According to GA, over the 2-day audit the company was able to demonstrate the highest levels of hygiene, safety, traceability and assurance for its pet food partners, giving the BRC every confidence in awarding a grade A – their highest possible award. GA manufactures super premium dry pet food for private-label customers. Their latest pet food innovation is a world first: the Just Fresh Meat concept, where dry pet food is manufactured without the use of any dry meat meal, with levels of fresh meat content in a dry pet food reaching up to 80 per cent.
