Legendary baseball manager speaks at PIJAC’s Top2Top Conference

Tony La Russa, winner of four Manager of the Year awards, takes the stage at the Pet Industry’s Top2Top Conference on 23-26 April in Napa/California. The conference will be organised by the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council (PIJAC). Regarded as one of baseball’s top managers, La Russa took a team that was 10 ½ games behind, riddled with injuries, mishaps and roadblocks, and led his team through an amazing recovery to the ultimate victory – the 2011 World Series Championship. According to the organisers, conference attendees will feel like they are in the locker room and dugout as La Russa recounts his journey in 2011, and shares his stories from 50 years in America’s iconic sport, baseball. Introducing La Russa will be Elena Bicker, executive director of the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF).
