“Interpets – International Fair for a Better Life with Pets” is preparing for its third edition, taking place on 22-25 August 2013 at Makuhari Messe. According to the organisers, Mesago Messe Frankfurt Corp., Interpets is the only international pet fair in Japan that gathers a wide range of products which meet the diversified needs of pet owners.
The fair in 2012 recorded 257 (domestic: 209; overseas: 48) exhibitors from 13 countries/regions and 46 883 visitors (business: 9 836; public: 37 047), a 20% growth in both exhibitor and visitor numbers. The exhibition space also expanded by 40 per cent compared with the 2011 show. The fair is open exclusively to trade visitors during the first two days and to the general public on the last two days.
A survey in 2012 showed that 94 per cent of exhibitors are planning to come back and 96 per cent of visitors are intending to revisit the fair both for the trade and public days. This year, the fair will be open to trade visitors for two days on 22-23, and to the general public for three days this time on 23-25.
