South African visit to P&G Petcare

A group of veterinarians from South Africa has recently visited the P&G Petcare headquarters in Cincinnati. Hosted by Cube Route, South Africa’s exclusive distributor for “Eukanuba” and “Iams”, they also toured P & G’s housing centre in Lewisburg, where they were able to get up close and personal with the cats and dogs at the centre. The guests were then shown the rest of the facilities, where the P & G staff showcased, demonstrated and brought to life the nutritional benefits achieved through significant investment in R&D and innovation. Further afield in Mason, a trip to the pet care business unit included the guests attending a presentation on how “Eukanuba” and “Iams” are manufactured and what it takes to achieve at least 120 safety and quality checks per bag. The whirlwind tour ended with insights into trends and future developments, not only in pet care but in the retail business in general. According to P & G Petcare, many of the veterinarians claimed that on returning home they would be making big changes in line with what they had learned.
