Pet food recalled due to potential health risk

Several pet food manufacturers have voluntarily recalled dog food formulas due to possible salmonella contamination. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Diamond Pet Foods, Natural Balance, Wellpet LLC and Canidae Pet Foods have all issued recalls. Diamond Pet Foods temporarily suspended delivery of all products made at its Gaston plant. Natural Balance Pet Foods and WellPet LLC announced voluntary recalls of dry pet food formulas that were manufactured in Diamond's Gaston facility.
