Big boost in sales for Gamm Vert

The French speciality chain Gamm Vert has increased sales in the first four months of the year by 15 per cent compared with 2010. Gamm Vert operates 895 local stores specialising in products for the garden and pets, including 16 outlets that have opened since the beginning of the year. Eleven stores in the “Gamm Vert” and “Comptoir du Village” formats have also been enlarged. The company also expects a positive business trend over the next few months, forecasting sales growth of 10 per cent by the end of 2011 compared with last year, when growth was 2.3 per cent. Gamm Vert would thus achieve sales of € 880 mio by the end of this year.
