Procter & Gamble has inaugurated its first wind turbine at its plant in Coevorden. The turbine is expected to generate around 5 500 megawatt-hours of energy per year

Procter & Gamble has inaugurated its first wind turbine at its plant in Coevorden. It is expected to produce around 5 500 megawatt-hours of energy per year, covering a third of the total electricity requirement of the plant. According to Procter & Gamble, the energy produced will be sufficient to provide 1 500 households in the Netherlands with power. The turbine is part of “P & G’s 2020 environmental goals”, stated the company at a press conference.
