Wyevale goes to a consortium

Shareholders in British garden centre group agree to takeover

The garden centre operator Wyevale, the number one in the British market, is to be sold to the WCC Hortis consortium for £ 311 mio (€ 451.2 mio) after shareholders gave their consent to the takeover. Tom Hunter, a Scot, heads the consortium. The takeover is expected to be completed on 19 June, when Wyevale will cease to be listed on the stock exchange.
