The Fressnapf Group was quick to react to the coronavirus pandemic across Europe, introducing specific measures for its workforce of approximately 14 000 people in all eleven countries where it operates. It has consistently focused on the health and safety of staff, customers and the best way to keep the business up and running.
These efforts have now reaped an additional reward. The Fressnapf Group is paying out more than 2 mio euros as a tax-free coronavirus bonus to all staff directly employed by the group, with employees receiving up to 250 euros each.
"The work done by staff members across the supply chain, whether in logistics centres or in the stores, can scarcely be praised highly enough, considering the many challenges they have faced," said Fressnapf founder and proprietor Torsten Toeller with regard to the bonus.
