Belgian corporate group Laroy Duvo (with companies including Witte Molen, ebi) is to embark on significant expansion of its logistics centre at the company's headquarters in Wondelgem, close to Ghent.
By the end of 2022, the warehouse is to be increased from 30 000 at present to 42 000 m². Parts of the existing logistics centre are expected to be completely renewed during the process. Plans are also in hand to build new administration offices. In parallel with this, the group is investing in the first steps towards partial automation of the warehouse.
Once planning permission has been obtained for the ambitious construction project, work is expected to commence following the summer holidays.
