The brochure is part of a major campaign by the Dutch family company focusing on children and pets. "Although we already know a lot about children and dogs, 75 000 children in the Netherlands are still bitten by a dog every year. It is widely advised never to leave a dog and a child alone together to avoid these problems. Most instances of this, however, occur under the supervision of adults," says the company. This is why Prins has published the brochure Vriendjes voor het leven (Friends for Life), which is intended to offer practical information and useful advice to help avoid problems between children and dogs. "The brochure is not about what shouldn't be done, but about what can be done to control the interaction between children and dogs," adds Prins Oetfoods.
The brochure is available free of charge when purchasing a Prins dog food from one of the Dutch pet stores participating in the campaign.
