A number of international exhibitors have been added to the exhibitor list for this year’s Aqua-rama, regarded as the world’s biggest aquatics fair, according to a press release from the organiser UBM Asia. In addition to new exhibitors from China, Taiwan, Japan, Malaysia and France, the Thai government’s Department of Fisheries has also confirmed its participation once again in the show. It will present a varied range of Thai aquatics products on its stand. Following its visit two years ago, the Taiwan Ornamental Fish Association (TOFA) will also exhibit once again and has increased its stand area to a total of 252 m². Visitors to Aquarama 2011 should thus gain an even better overview of the range of Taiwanese products and services. Speakers from all over the world This year Aquarama, which is supported by the trade magazine PET worldwide among others, will focus once again on its trade seminar programme entitled “Managing Change – Maintaining Focus”. The programme is divided into three blocks: “International Perspectives” in aquatics will be highlighted, the second block will look at “Maintaining Quality” and “Trends and Trade” will be the final block. The cosmopolitan flavour of the show is also reflected in the list of speakers, which includes experts from the USA, the Netherlands, Norway, Germany, Denmark and the Czech Republic. The public seminar programme is also near to completion. Topics for consideration include Discus fish, seahorses and aquatic plants as well as dragon fish, cichlids, crystal bee shrimps, aquarium maintenance and nano aquaria. For nano aquarium enthusiasts, Aquarama will host a new competition in which nano tanks, restricted to freshwater set-ups, will be judged on appearance, appropriateness of the décor, plants and tank inhabitants. Another new feature is the fish photography competition, which will be dedicated to photographs taken on site during Aquarama. Download: Aquarama marches on (PDF file)
