The Pet Summit, the educational conference for the pet industry, will take place from 23 to 26 March at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, Florida, promising four days of forward-thinking education, networking and professional development, according to a press release. The Pet Summit is organised by the American Pet Products Association (APPA).
The Pet Sustainability Track, sponsored by the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC), explores how sustainability practices in packaging, ingredients, emissions and corporate responsibility can drive positive impact and profitable growth across the pet ecosystem. ‘Sustainability is becoming one of the most important factors for long-term competitiveness in the pet industry,’ said Jim Lamancusa, CEO of the Pet Sustainability Coalition. ‘With this track, we are giving companies the tools, insights and practical examples they need to translate their sustainability commitments into measurable results and business value.’
In addition to the Pet Summit programme, the Pet Sustainability Coalition will continue to support the industry's sustainability efforts by sponsoring the Sustainability Pavilion at Global Pet Expo (25–27 March) at the same venue, showcasing innovative products and solutions from the industry's most progressive brands.
