Aid for Ukrainian pets

The Ukrainian pet food manufacturer Kormotech has resumed production in Lviv on the Ukrainian-Polish border, according to the company's LinkedIn page. Kateryna Kovalyuk-Burko, head of press and publicity at Kormotech, says that the company still has adequate raw materials in stock as well as having a sufficiently large inventory of finished products at present. In the last four days, Kormotech has already sent around 11 500 kg of pet food to pet owners in all the major Ukrainian cities. It has also announced its intention of establishing a "Save pets of Ukraine" charity fund in Lithuania to ensure that pets in Ukraine continue to receive supplies while the country is under attack from Russia.
The European Association of Zoos and Aquaria, EAZA, has also set up a donation platform to support Ukrainian zoos.
