Fressnapf grows significantly in all channels

The Fressnapf group increased its turnover by 9.7 per cent to 2.3 bn euros in 2019. This was announced by the enterprise today, 12 February, at its annual press conference in Düsseldorf.
Like-for-like sales grew by 6.1 per cent, more than twice the increase in the previous year. In the ten international markets, the Fressnapf group grew by 13.4 per cent to 900 mio euros. In Germany the turnover increase amounted to 7.5 per cent.
In its online business Fressnapf increased sales with conversion by over 21 per cent to approximately 110 mio euros. For the first time the conversion of the exclusive brands of Fressnapf's overall sales channels amounted to more than a billion euros, up by nearly eleven per cent. At the end of the year there were 1 630 Fressnapf and Maxi zoo stores, which corresponds to an increase of 68 new locations compared to the previous year.
In 2020, when Fressnapf celebrates its 30th anniversary, Fressnapf founder and owner Torsten Toeller forecasts a turnover increase of between 5 and 7 per cent. He cited the opening of new online shops abroad and the expansion of the retail group's cross-channel system as further goals for this year.
