Pet food driving Nestlé sales

Swiss corporation Nestlé has reported increasing sales of pet food.

Nestlé has reported organic growth of 7.6 per cent for the first nine months of the current year. Against this background, the company has also increased its forecast for organic sales growth in the year as a whole to six to seven per cent.

Coffee contributed most to the growth (+15.5 per cent) across the company, closely followed by Purina pet food products, which likewise recorded double-digit growth to 11.36 bn Swiss francs (approx. 10.6 bn euros), according to Nestlé (same period in 2020: 10.38 bn Swiss francs or approx. 9.7 bn euros).

In the EMENA zone (Europe, Middle East and North Africa), the company's organic growth was 7.2 per cent. Purina products led the way here with double-digit growth. Tails.com has also developed further and now has 250 000 monthly subscribers in nine markets, adds Nestlé.
