Over 700 participants at Pre Connect

The second run of Pre Connect by Pet Fair SEA gathered over 700 participants from 290 companies and 61 countries for two days of virtual networking and conferences. The VNU Asia Pacific event saw 67 exhibitors, half of which were pet food brands, testing the ASEAN market. A third of the 710 visitors were importers and distributors.

The 14 conference sessions, which included a talk on China's imported pet food rules and a look at the Thai pet market, had 3 000 views, VNU data show.

European pet companies indicated keen interest in Southeast Asia. Figures from VNU Asia Pacific show that brands from the bloc had the most exhibitors after Thailand. Of the 67 companies that showcased their products, 24 per cent were European while two in five were Thai.
