Change of personnel at Tom & Co.

Lionel Desclée, CEO of the Belgian pet retail chain Tom & Co, will transfer his role in January to his business partner Thierry le Grelle, who is currently Chief Finance and Development Officer at Tom & Co. Lionel Desclée will remain shareholder of the company and will take a bigger role on the Board of Directors. He intends to focus in future more on strategy and coaching of the executive teams. He will take up a new operational challenge in Asia.
Tom & Co operates more than 160 stores in Belgium, France and Luxembourg. It is market leader in Belgium with more than 130 stores and is growing in France where it operates nearly 30 stores. After a two year carve-out from its previous shareholder, the company is now totally independent. During this period, Tom & Co. opened 17 new stores and is now ready for a new phase of accelerated growth.
