Since 1978, founder Günter Enderle and the NEKTON brand have been recognised and registered manufacturers under state control of pet food supplements for birds, reptiles, dogs and cats. NEKTON has been a well-established brand for animal supplements in Europe since the 1980s. Its good reputation also extended to the USA, where sales commenced in 1982. In 2010, the founder’s son Thomas Enderle took over the company, which became known as NEKTON. Increased demands on production made it essential to build new company premises; the move to the new building, which also houses the production facilities, took place in 2018. In 2019, NEKTON was certified according to GMP+ B8. Not only pet owners but also many renowned and well-known breeders belong to the NEKTON customer group. Experts, institutes, bird parks and zoos all over the world also appreciate NEKTON. Today the company sells in more than 90 countries worldwide and celebrated its 45th brand anniversary in 2023.
