Lantmännen Doggy has been acquired by the Lithuanian investment company NDX. What changes has this takeover caused at the newly named company Doggy AB and what further changes are to come?

With NDX as a strong new owner I can see that we will be stronger and even more on the offensive as a company outside the Nordic countries. NDX has a strong network in Europe and here Doggy AB will be a stronger player in the future. I don't see any big changes; we will follow our offensive plan with new products and new markets in Europe. We will also continue to produce our products here in Sweden with the same quality ingredients as before.

Does the takeover also have staffing implications for Doggy?

Before NDX entered we had support from Lantmännen with services like IT support, public relations, staff etc. Now we have to recruit. Also, in the future, our goal is to be stronger in new markets in Europe and for this matter I can also see that we need to recruit in the future.

What entrepreneurial opportunities are you hoping for from this acquisition?

NDX has a great reputation and network in Europe. Here we will have big opportunities in the future. I can also see that Doggy will be stronger in Scandinavia in the future.

One of Doggy's success factors has been the fact that we have production here in Sweden and that the focus has been on the use of Swedish products. And that is nothing that we should change. This past year, we have worked intensively to develop exciting new products that we know our customers want. The launches of some of these are now taking place this autumn and winter, and some will be launched during 2016. Therefore we have made some changes to production. However, it has nothing to do with the fact that we have a new owner.

You became the new managing director at Lantmännen Doggy in spring 2015. What is your vision for the company? What are your goals for the immediate future?

One of our goals is to increase the pace of innovation and new products and be quicker to launch these products on the market. We launched the 'innovation plan' about a year ago and it feels very good. We are following the plan and will launch exciting new products during 2015 and 2016. New markets in Europe and…
