Integrated sustainability

For sera, sustainability is not a trend - it has been a part of the corporate philosophy for decades. Back in the early 1990s, sera mounted several large photovoltaic systems on the roofs of the production halls. Of course, the newest hall - a logistics building - is equipped with one as well. This is only one example of sera relying on a sustainable energy supply. The principle of sustainability is also firmly anchored in all processes, from product development to production and transportation. For its high-quality food, which constitutes the company's main business, sera uses only natural ingredients from renewable sources. sera is strictly against using fish meal from food fish, clearly positioning itself against species extinction and overfishing of the oceans. A logical conclusion, following the company philosophy on sustainability, was introducing the new food types of the sera Nature range without dyes and preservatives. Some of the varieties in the Nature range include insect meal, which is an alternative high-quality, sustainable protein source. Recently, sera launched five new Nature foods, thereby taking another important step towards a product range that is as close to nature and as sustainable as possible.
