The new PET worldwide is on sale

Cats are Europe's most popular pet. One in four European households has at least one cat, and the European cat population numbers around 106.4 mio. Russia boasts the most felines (22.8 mio), followed by Germany (14.7 mio) and France (14.2 mio).

Other features in the latest issue include a report on the three leading pet store chains in Portugal and a look at the aquarium trend in the international pet supplies sector.

In a special supplement, PET worldwide congratulates the Plaček Group, a pet retailer operating in eastern Europe, on the opening of its 250th store. Observers familiar with the pet sector have labelled founder and proprietor Dušan Plaček the "Torsten Toeller of the East".
