Nestlé Purina bursary award

The Nestlé Purina Human-Animal Bond sponsorship will support the work of researchers in academic organisations, foundations, charities or NGOs. Applicants may receive up to 30 000 US dollars (approx. 26 800 euros) per proposal. Possible research topics include animals in the workplace, the development of children with pets, managing obesity and increasing activity among pet owners and using therapy dogs to treat post-traumatic stress and anxiety.

The call for proposals is directed at research studies involving dogs or cats. Each project will be examined by an ethics committee and be guided entirely by current animal welfare legislation, stresses Nestlé Purina.

Proposals must be submitted in English and be received by 15 May. All the details of the call for proposals including time conditions can be found at www.purina.com/HumanAnimalBond.
