Despite falling income levels

More orders of pet products in Russia

01.12.2020

According to the online payment service CloudPayments, the average receipt for grocery and essential goods purchased online in Russia decreased in October to an estimated 2.1 thousand roubles (23 euros). This was 45 per cent less than in April, during the first peak of the coronavirus pandemic, according to Zooinform, the Russian communication B2B pet industry platform.
The frequency of online purchases also declined, as customers were no longer scared to go shopping in a regular store. The other reason was that the real income of Russians has decreased, which has forced customers to save on food, ready-made food, clothes and electronic devices.
At the opposite extreme, according to the analysts of Yandex.Market, pet product demand and average receipts continued to grow. The number of orders in this category increased by 13 per cent, and the average receipt grew by 15 per cent.
